The performance of my Mac mini (mid 2011) is painfully slow!! even after performing various cleans, preference changes etc the results don't seem to get better.

So i've decided to start upgrading the hardware and starting with the RAM (thinking 16GB), but when searching for RAM I found these two types DDR3 & DDR3L, does anybody;


a) know the differences between DDR3 & DDR3L?

b) which is the pereffered of the two?
